Safe Harbor's High Country Recovery Center for Women is currently seeking a passionate On Purpose Teacher/Class Facilitator Volunteer. As a volunteer for Safe Harbor, you are a direct influence to all whom you assist, greet, and interact with. You will be teaching a class, leading a book study, and/or facilitating a group discussion during a specified time. We ask that as a Safe Harbor volunteer, you serve with purpose, compassion, a giving heart, accompanied by a discerning and motivated spirit.
Key Responsibilities of the On Purpose Teacher/Class Facilitator:
- Prepare weekly to lead the provided curriculum
- Check in with the Operations Director regularly through phone calls, emails, and/or texts
- Comply with the guidelines and policies set forth in the Volunteer Handbook
- Be willing to listen to the attendees. Talk to them and a be a positive, encouraging influence. Love them and help them to see the love and care that you have in your heart for them
Time Requirement: 1 class per year, 1 to 2 hours in length, ranging from 5 to 12 weeks long. You may choose to lead another class if desired and scheduling permits.
