Safe Harbor is looking for a hard working volunteer willing to aid and support the Facility and Project Manager with building and property upkeep and related maintenance or maintenance issues in efforts to prevent staff and residents from having to spend their time tending to such issues.
All Safe Harbor volunteers are fueled by a Christ-Centered love and compassion for all people accompanied by a motivated spirit to bless others.
Key Responsibilities of the Facility and Property Maintenance Support would include:
- Being strong in your commitment to the mission of Safe Harbor through service
- Good communication skills and dependability
- Timely response to requests. The right volunteer would possess a willingness to check emails and texts regularly for project notes, requests and direction; we ask that this volunteer responds in a timely manner
- To perform or aid in the completion of basic household maintenance-type tasks. Some tasks may include, but are not limited to: filter changes, painting/touch up paint, replacing light fixtures/bulbs, cleaning out gutters, outdoor/grounds upkeep, appliance and replacement
- Aiding in the delivery of donated appliances, lifting/storing those appliances
Time Requirement: Flexible and dependent upon needs. Each volunteer will be emailed/texted when a need arises. We ask for our volunteers to have a swift response to let us know of your availability and your ability to assist or perform tasks.
