As a Community Outreach Volunteer you are a direct influence and representation of Safe Harbor to all whom you meet and interact with. You will have the opportunity to share the ministry components and needs of Safe Harbor at events, out in the community, and within your own social network. The purpose of a Community Outreach Volunteer is to help the development team raise awareness of Safe Harbor by attending events on behalf of Safe Harbor and through sharing Safe Harbor in the community.
Key Responsibilities of the Community Outreach Volunteer:
- Represent Safe Harbor at community events
- Set up table displays, passing out materials to raise awareness for the ministry of Safe Harbor and answering basic questions.
- Connect individuals to our Lunch and Tour, volunteer opportunities, inquiries on becoming a donor, and the needs of Safe Harbor
- Share upcoming events and happenings on social media and with others in your sphere of influence
Time Requirement: As available, when needed to cover an event. We ask that our volunteers make an effort to stay connected in-between events.
