Volunteer: On Purpose Teacher/Class FacilitatorSafe Harbor is looking for volunteers who are not only passionate about their own faith, but enjoy helping others step into their own spiritual discipleship as well. As an On Purpose Techer/Class Facilitator, you will be a direct influence and representation of Safe Harbor to all whom you assist, greet, and interact with. You will be teaching a class, leading book studies, and/or facilitating discussion groups during specified times. As a Safe Harbor volunteer, we hope that your purpose is one of compassion, accompanied by a giving heart, and a discerning and motivated spirit. Key Responsibilities of an On Purpose Teacher/Class Facilitator: Preparing weekly to lead class with the provided curriculum Checking in with the Operations Director regularly through phone calls, emails, and/or texts Complying with the guidelines and policies set forth in the Volunteer Handbook Be willing to really listen to the attendees. Talk to them and be an encouraging, positive influence in their lives. Love them and help them to see the love that you have for themTime Requirement: 1 class per year, 1 to 2 hours in length on a weekly basis, ranging from 5 to 12 weeks long. You are more than welcome to lead another class if you desire to do so and scheduling permits.
