Volunteer: Volunteer Program AssistantThis particular volunteer will be working alongside the Volunteer and Events Coordinator with the primary tasks/functions aiming to maintain the core needs of the volunteer program. The right volunteer will be able to assist with data entry and reporting, ultimately striving towards all ministry volunteer needs being met throughout the different programs while keeping volunteer information up to date and reliable. This volunteer must be aware of and able to adjust to developing needs of the volunteer program. As a Volunteer and Community Outreach Assistant, you will be a direct influence and representative of Safe Harbor to all whom you assist, greet, and interact with. All volunteers are considered ambassadors of Safe Harbor as you will have the opportunity to share the components of the ministry and needs of Safe Harbor inside and outside of these office walls on a daily basis. This position would include, but is not limited to: Hand-write Thank You cards, address envelopes and mail Donor/Volunteer Database data entry; Journal entries and notes, create new or update existing accounts Making thank you calls to donors Calling churches for possible presentation opportunities and best contacts Calling businesses to see if they have Staff Development days for that might allow for presentation opportunities and/or to see if they have any interest for in-kind service partnership opportunities or Corporate Sponsorships Calling schools seeking opportunities to speak/share about Safe Harbor on Staff Development days
Time Requirement: Minimum of once per week, 2-4 hours (or as needed).
